2026 Summer Youth Sailing Program

Our signature program is the William E. Mee Youth Sailing Program, an exciting, fun-filled summer adventure on the water for kids and teens ages 6 to 15. Based at Mattapoisett Town Beach on Water Street in Mattapoisett, with all sailing taking place in the beautiful, scenic Mattapoisett Harbor, the program consists of three two-week sessions plus a one-week fourth session.

Session One: July 6–17, 2026
Session Two: July 20–31, 2026
Session Three: August 3–14, 2026
Session Four: August 17–21, 2026

Whether your child is a total beginner, has some sailing experience, or is preparing for racing and advancing their skills, we focus on building confidence, teaching essential techniques and key skills, and creating lasting, lifelong memories—all in a safe, supportive environment. Youth sailing also develops coordination, strength, resilience, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, independence, and a deep appreciation for the marine environment.

Who Can Join?

The two-week summer sessions are open to all students ages 6 to 15!
Ages 6–10: Morning (8:30-11:30 AM) classes – perfect for beginners with lighter winds and calmer seas.
Ages 11–15: Afternoon (12:30-3:30 PM) classes – geared toward more experienced sailors ready to level up their skills.

We tailor every class to the students who enroll, and group kids by their sailing ability so everyone learns at the right pace and has a blast!

Note: Students must pass a basic swimming test on the first day. The student has to feel comfortable in the water, swim 50ft and tread water for 1 minute with a lifejacket on.
